Heartlands High School is an exciting and innovative new mixed secondary academy in the heart of Haringey between Wood Green and Alexandra Palace.
It is the first school of the Heartlands Community Trust and will sit at the heart of a growing multi academy trust. The trust is committed to ensuring that children and young people thrive and achieve their potential. By ensuring that our schools provide a broad and balanced curriculum, we develop a range of talents. Children and young people are encouraged to act responsibly as individuals and as members of the wider community. In doing so we instil the highest of expectations, developing leadership in children and young people, staff and governors, and ensuring accountability, a clear vision, transparency, fairness and consistency.
Heartlands High School opened its doors to pupils only six years ago nevertheless this year’s pupils’ performance is already close to that for the most successful schools in Haringey.
We are building a multi academy trust with our Autistic Spectrum Disorder free school opening in September 2017. We are working with local primary and secondary mainstream schools keen to convert to an academy within our Trust. The Trust’s plans for growing as a multi academy trust ambitious but measured. Our likely growth over the three years will be to six academies including the ASD free school. Over the next financial year we will strengthen and develop Heartlands High School systems and processes to ensure they are fit for supporting the growth of a multi academy trust.
We are looking for a finance manager for the Heartlands High School with the right combination of personality, initiative as well as technical competence who will shape the school’s finance function to meet the demands of the school and to be the centre of a growing multi academy trust. The successful candidate will need to be a technically competent finance manager with the interpersonal skills, determination and drive to gain the confidence and trust of senior managers and professionals. While experience of working in schools or academies is highly desirable we are looking for candidates with potential to grow into this role.
